1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up through a third-party OAuth provider, we receive your name and email from that service.
Feedback Data
When end users of your mobile applications submit feedback through our SDKs, we collect the feedback content (type, title, description), optional screenshots, and device metadata such as device model, operating system version, app version, and screen name.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with our service, including pages visited, features used, timestamps, IP address, browser type, and referring URLs.
Custom Data
Our SDKs allow developers to attach custom metadata (extra_data) to feedback submissions. ClientLens processes this data on behalf of the developer, and the developer is responsible for ensuring appropriate consent from their end users.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the ClientLens service
- Process and display feedback submissions in your dashboard
- Send transactional emails such as password resets and account notifications
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Analyze usage patterns to improve our product
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your data seriously. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Data at rest is stored on secure, access-controlled servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted database connections, regular security audits, and role-based access controls.
Screenshots and uploaded files are stored securely and are only accessible to authorized members of your project team. We do not access your feedback data except as necessary to provide the service or when required by law.
4. Third-Party Services
ClientLens integrates with third-party services at your direction, including project management tools (Jira, Linear, GitHub, etc.) and communication platforms (Slack, Discord, etc.). When you connect an integration, we share feedback data with that service according to your configuration.
We may use third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Feedback data is retained according to your subscription plan and can be deleted at any time through the dashboard or by contacting support.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or audit purposes. Uploaded screenshots and files are permanently deleted when the associated feedback is deleted.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
- Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data
